I led a team of four in installing and testing 783 AED units across 221 school buildings in one week. We configured each device, verified power functionality, and ensured connectivity with the School Health Connect app. I documented the project in Excel, including device information, locations and optimized driving routes for team members, to support efficient deployment and tracking for future inspections.

Asian Longhorned Beetle (ALB) Eradication Program

Charleston & Dorchester Counties, SC | Feb–May 2021

Role: FCR-COR (Federal Contracting Officer’s Representative) — USDA APHIS

As part of the team that launched the USDA ALB operations in South Carolina, I supported the opening of a new field office in Hollywood, SC and led two of the 4 contracted tree removal teams during the Asian Longhorned Beetle eradication program.

Mexican Fruit Fly Eradication Program

Role:Field Operations Lead — USDA APHIS

During a critical Mexican fruit fly outbreak in Cameron County, TX, I led a multidisciplinary USDA APHIS field team through complex surveillance across 700+ sq mi. I designed GIS-based surveying routes that improved detection and supported seven major quarantine boundary changes, expanding the regulated area by 465%. These actions protected ~2,300 acres of commercial citrus in Harlingen, ensuring uninterrupted harvesting. I Implemented adaptive COVID-safe protocols and regularly checked with local officials to maintain a team schedule without interruption. This role showcased my leadership in high-pressure response operations and cross-agency collaboration.

Spotted Lantern Fly (SLF) Eradication Program

Allegheny County, PA & Jefferson County Ohio | Aug-Oct 2020

Role: Environmental Monitor — USDA APHIS

I briefly joined the Spotted Lanternfly eradication effort in western Pennsylvania as an Environmental Monitor. I collected and analyzed water and soil samples near treatment sites to measure pesticide persistence. As the infestation spread westward, I collaborated with the Ohio team, providing training on pest identification and pesticide application. Using my experience from the Eastern Pennsylvania program.
